Julio Cesar Chavez Jr is a growing cancer on boxing

I am in a Chavez thread because I am a boxing fan, a recent fight took place with Chavez, there was some potential controversy regarding a subject that has really heated up lately, and this is a public forum so I can post where I like.

Where do I stand? I think we should be a hell of a lot more suspicious of a hell of a lot more fighters, but I'm getting tired of this sport and all it's bull****. I believe there is a lot more going on behind closed doors than we care to admit. I believe, that as always, those with sufficient money and power can prevent any positive changes coming about.

In short, I am suspicious of all my favourite fighters, I am suspicious of all promoters, I am suspicious of every judge, ref, fighter and sanctioning body. It's a real shame that to not be a naive boxing fan you have to verge on tin foil hat wearing levels of scepticism, but that's just how it is.

So, yes I don't believe everything is necessarily above board regarding Chavez, but that's no comment on him as an individual, just a comment on the sport as a whole.

He thought he was going to fight the Jr before lee, the one that was thought of as lazy, flabby and slow. Then the monster that appeared before lee changed everything. What are you crying about, he's provided a sample already, its been confirmed by the athletic director of the Texas athletic commission. What else do you want??

I'd laugh if they decided to take Chavez Jrs last 2 fights off him,
of course they wont - but they damn well should!

other then that, i agree with you....

i've been saying this for years...if many of you knew the truth about the sport, many wouldn't watch it....IT'S A DIRTY , NASTY, GRIMEY GAME......reason why i enjoy fights, and fighters.....and stay completely away from the politics......why ? cause i know not a damn thing will be done about it...

He submitted the urine sample before the fight.Lee camp complained about the way the sample was handled and taken.But the urine is been processed as we speak.As far as I know Chavez jr looked great Saturday night.
