Julio Cesar Chavez Jr is Jake Paul's next opponent

If Cheeseburger Junior bothers to get into shape for this he would whip this guy's ass.

 

Never rated Chavez Jr highly. In this fight he's smaller, older but for once Chavez Jr is the better boxer hands down but he's not as hungry or fit and if there is a robbery it'll probably not be going his way.

Why are the expectations for Chavez Jr so low?

I know he's had some personal problems and lost to Silva who Paul beat but he likely didn't take the fight seriously enough

Substance abuse problems, almost 40, lot of fights, best weight was 40+ pounds south, hasn't looked good in many years

From the training footage I have seen of Junior it looks like his plan is to go to the body. JP has never face a consistent body attack. If Chavez is able to execute this it could get interesting but JP is just so much naturally bigger and younger they picked Chavez for a reason.

28 year old guy giving 100% to the sport, working harder than any Champion for the past 5 years, juicing, sparring daily with former champions vs 40 year old pot & coke head who doesn't train properly and his best win was at 160 lbs 15 years ago.

Paul making this fight means he expects to win. And all the evidence would support that expectation. This is standard prospect fights older big name he doesn't see as a risk. 39 isn't that old but its less about the age and more about where Jr is in his career in particular. JCC Jr won his belt at MW close to 15 years ago. Jake Paul is a CW.

I don't think Paul takes a fight he thinks he'll lose going forward unless its a title shot he doesn't deserve. This will enable him to play it off if he gets destroyed because thats what was supposed to happen and talk an endless avalanche of diaherra if he does well.
