    Chavez is stepping to his left and getting hit with jabs and uppercuts as Vera drops inside with his guard up and presses close to him. Big left hook by Chavez. Vera shakes it off and keeps moving forward. Vera is doubling the jab and following with the overhand right, missing all three punches as Chavez backs up along the ropes. Big left hook downstairs by Chavez. Vera is reaching out with the jab to the body and gets scraped on the jaw with a left hook. Stiff jab by Vera walking in. Chavez is circling left and crossing his arms to block Vera's shots.

    I'm rooting for Vera and can see where one might be tempted to give him the 1st on aggression...but really Chavez made him miss too much and landed those few really nice flush hooks.

    I felt the first was close but it looks as though Chavez can move it up a few gears. He looks like a cruiser weight.
