Magdaleno just used Riovalle for target practice all night with fast and fluidly combined right hooks and spearing lefts, all moving forward and employing some bob and weave, but Riovalle never stopped bouncing on his toes and firing punches back and was never in serious trouble. One of those exciting fights that becomes monotonous and boring when you realize every round is exactly the same and there is going to be no change.

The card in Quebec is a PPV in Canada only.

It's a completely different card from this one, in California...hence I've made two separate RBR threads for them.

HBO in the US is going to show the Stevenson vs. Cloud main event as co-feature to Chavez Jr. vs. Vera, the main event in California.

For all intents and purposes, though, it's two completely separate events with nothing else to do with each other. Indigo (the Canadian PPV channel) is only showing the Montreal action. Only the American HBO is mixing the cards.

Saenz is standing in and jabbing with Coca. BIG LEFT HOOK BY SAENZ, less than forty seconds in. Coca is badly hurt and staggering away, blinking. Standing eight by Lou Moret? Saenz moves in for the finish. Big hooks to head and body. Coca is wrapping his forearms up against his face and then swooping in with chasing uppercuts as Saenz darts out to reset. Big overhand right on the side of the head by Saenz. Left hooks alternating between head and body, hurting Coca. Right uppercut and left hook by Saenz. Lead shovel lefts to the body by Saenz on the outside, boxing southpaw. Coca moves in and hooks the body. BIG RIGHT HAND BY SAENZ. Coca is wobbled. Another. Moret steps in.

Nice prospect, Saenz.

A dream match-up down the line would be him and the younger Magdaleno brother, Jesse.

(both turned pro in 2010...Jesse is a southpaw and Gabino a switch-hitter...both have speed and power, both are three minute aggressors, both popular young Latino Americans...)

His transitions between orthodox and southpaw aren't quite as smooth as say a Hank Lundy's, but there are so few cats doing it these days he could easily before long emerge as top 5 p4p at it.
