After thinking about it Barker doesnt deserve the fight, Rubio does.

  4. Chavez Jr is far, far, far, far better than people give him credit for.

I think people are now overstating his ability on the back of a close fight with Zbik and dominating and always-average Manfredo. Anyone can look polished when their opponent has nothing to stop them, but it’s when someone poses you trouble: do you grow and stay disciplined or do you revert to type?

Chavez Jr isn’t ****, but he’s not particularly good.

  6. Manfredo is a journeyman, the sort of fighter that in a stronger MW era would be bottom of the bill at the Philadelphia Spectrum rather than getting several opportunities in big events.

Such as the Calzaghe fight, being chief support on the Hatton/Mayweather card and now the fight with Chavez.

If he was any good he'd have beaten Lacy, let's be real here.

1 - Chavez IS a decent if somewhat protected fighter with good skills.

2 - Barker DID put up a good performance against Sergio (He broke his
nose for Christs sake and stalked him for most of the fight).

3 - Barker COULD beat Chavez but would probably lose on points.

    4 - All the above = FACT!

Watched parts of the Manfredo fight other day, Personally feel Darren has the tools to win against Chavez. Didn't feel his performance was that good against Peter.

He's improved but tbh Peter has always been there to be hit, plus he's not world class either so i wouldn't read to much into that win.

Apparently Baker is the leading candidate to fight him next, but Chavez will be stripped if he doesn't fight Martinez.
