The best round on the fight, but ROTWeek fits better, this was a disappointing fight, but I should have known it would be as ugly(in a bad way) as it turned out to be, Chvez jr has one of the ugliest style I've ever see, even his most exiting fights never empress me, this one was terrible at points, and very good for a few moments, over all, Chavez Jr has yet to impress me, he takes his 3rd loss, and should move up to fight Bute, Ward, Froch, Hopkins, Dawson, Pascal.

    Even in the January FOTM candidates (here: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=378329) I'm not sure there was a better single round than Chavez-Rubio R11, although all five were better overall fights.

    Chavez fights at around 180 fight night, Cotto would get destroyed, why put Chavez against former welterweights, put him against the best at 168, and 175.

    JCC would destroy Cottoe.
    JCC is a Margarito +++

    He should stay clear of Pirogi and Martinez though and 168lb.

    AA would be a good fight and Pavlik.

    Those last few second of that round were Great, maybe I was just expecting way too much, for some reason I thought we would get a Castillo vs Corrales 1 type of fights :bart,

    I'll try UFC to see if I can get my much needed doze of back and forth action....

    Edit: UFC still ain't chet!, compared to Boxing's back and forth action..

    I scored the fight for Chavez, 9-2-1 in rounds, 118-111 in points. I thought Rubio had an excellent chance to win, but Chavez won the fight when he rehydrated 22 pounds, and came into the ring with a 10 pound weight advantage. I give credit to Rubio for his work rate and what effectiveness he had, but he just wasn't strong enough, and only in the last two rounds did he dare fight inside, and even then Chavez was more effective. Props to Chavez for beating the best opponent he's faced so far, but he needs to tighten his discipline, and now continue fighting elite level fighters.

    Margorito YES. I could and would like to see this fight next. One more payday for the dirtbag and an excellent way for Bob to send MargoCHEATO out on his ass.

    I'll call it now.....Chavez KO 3-4.

    No way to Cotto. Way to slick and coy. He's too good a counterpuncher and can himself get up around 165 when he wants.
    I could see Cotto demanding a 156 catchweight which would severely slow Chavez while allowing Cotto all the advantage of increasing speed and power.

    As for Bob putting him in with Martinez.......why the hell not. He's shown a solid beard already, and if his genetics have anything to say about it he aint getting KOd. So worst case scenario is a 9-3/ 8-4 decision loss. He's 25 years old. A loss aint everything to everyone, and he clearly is looking to fight the best. He'll take that fight, win or lose then move up and start feasting on Abrahams, and Andrades and Bikas for a few fights before getting a megafight with Bute or Ward.

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Chavez!:bbb
