His world champion status is the first thing I point to when arguing with people that 154 is not a very deep division.

A couple of big names at the top, but not really much depth.

Dunno I think their is a wealth of B level talent (with Konecny, Lara and Molina standing out), their is a good 10-15 guys that could put on good fights that would get me interested personally...though it's more of a division that needs a kick up the arse than a genuinely exciting division.

And even the big names there are surrounded by a lot of question marks. I don't think that Margo and Cotto have much left and the other guys are somehow unproven.

I wouldn't even call Lara and Molina second tier at LMW. They're the best, after Cotto.

Canelo is still a baby and has been babied, so he's hard to rate. I feel he isn't anything like an ATG in the making but could possibly have a good lengthy title reign.

    Trout is skilled.

Beyond those five, there isn't much to write home about.

Kirkland and Angulo are fantastic TV fighters/action heroes - but either could lose on a given night to a true B or even C level fighter with a good chin and a bit of skill. Ditto Wolak.

P-W needs to pick a division, and he might also just be done.

Konecny's OK. Euro-level. Wouldn't be competitive with the top five.

    WTF?

    "Live Stream Is Off Air"?

Why isn't Top Rank showing us Omotoso vs. Tyner or Pinzon vs. Smith?

Those two eight rounders were looking like possibly the best parts of the already decent undercard.

I agree with you on Canelo but Canelo v Konecny would, IMO, be a great fight

You have Cotto (who's on the wane) Magarito (also on the wane), Canelo (being babied), Konecny (proven tough guy), Molina (tough and brings it), Molina (ultra talented), Trout (talented)

    Williams (living on his name)

    Bundrage and Mundine (title holders)

Dzinziruk (unless he's hung them up)

    Andrade emerging prospect

Then you have Kirkand and Angulo on any night could blow their wad, get stopped or stop anyone in the division

It's not one of the worst divisions IMO, though it's probably the most fracturered

    ...but it can't be.

The broadcast is two hours and fifteen minutes.

They're defiinitely showing a replay of Pacquiao-Marquez III first, before the main event. They always do that the week after a big PPV.

That only leaves enough time in the broadcast for the Pacquiao-Marquez III replay and the main event. No undercard.

Plus, HBO doesn't list anything but Chavez vs. Manfredo on their website. Whenever there is a co-feature they list it on their boxing page under the event heading.

I "believe" others will have the Clottey fight instead of the replay. Have to double check.

I read somewhere that the Omotoso fight will be televised, the article could have been wrong though.
