    Round 3

Chavez is landing jabs and circling left after each impact. Chavez goes fishing with rights, and gets plenty of bites! HARD rights crashing into Manfredo's face. Manfredo keeps coming forward, face bruised up. They land right hands together. Manfredo doubles his jab and misses but back Chavez up. Chavez slaps down with his right hand anticipating a Manfredo jab, just smacking Manfredo's left glove downward and then taking advantage by popping his own jab in his face. Chavez is countering and stepping to his left quicker than Manfredo can get squared up to him. Manfredo is rushing in and lunging after him. Tape comes off Manfredo's glove. Time out. His face is marked up. Laurence Cole is getting annoyed. Manfredo's corner is doing a terrible job, bungling. Slow. "Just cut it!" Cripes. Time in. Manfredo walks forward trying to hook up high, and Chavez ducks and counters hard. Manfredo lands a hard 1-2 after the bell!! Chavez laughs.

    30-27 Chavez

I remember when I saw him the first time. It looked like any amount of pressure could completely stop him in his tracks. He's definitely improved then the early days.

Got to give Roach credit for improving Chavez' boxing skills. Thank god he is not trying to fight like his father anymore. His career should last longer because of this. Definate Chavez round. My only complaint about Chavez is his lack of a proper jab.

    3rd 10-9 Chavez

    29-28 Chavez

I did not watch that fight.

I gotta say I am very impressed with Chavez right now. His last fight i feel he either lost or should have been a draw. I figured he would keep being stupid fighting on the inside like he has been when this dude was built to be a boxer.

    Round 3 Chavez Jr.

Fight is turning into a real fight now, Chavez is starting to exchange and Manfredo is starting to get into his range and land some solid shots to the head and body. Gave the round to Chavez Jr. on activity and generalship though, he kept the fight where he wanted it, but Chavez was countering him nicely.

    30 - 27 Chavez.
