Round 1

Otero is throwing some wide hooks and missing up high but catching some flesh above the trunks (and a bit below as well). Escamilla is just windmilling back at him and mostly missing. Incidental contact for Escamilla with his windmills as he gets hooked in the chest and sent diving headlong toward the ropes. Some clinching and scraping, with Otero missing rights. They hug and slap each other on the back.

The round went long; timekeeper must have been distracted.

 

Right? That's his primary function. The dude should have a percentage of his paycheck withheld.

5% for every ten seconds of slacking. (being that it's Arum, he'll probably see this post and actually do that...)

 

Round 2

Otero throws some left hooks to the hip and rights up to the face but isn't able to connect clean with much as Escamilla stays close to him and swinging his arms wildly. Otero is getting a shot or two in from mid range, but has to watch out for shrapnel. Good little surge by Escamilla at the end, catching Otero with a couple of shots but getting countered hard.

20-18 Otero

 

Round 3

Several left hooks to the body by Otero, backing Escamilla up. Back to mid range brawling. Both throwing big shots all over the place. Nobody landing. Otero is working the left hook to the body but getting his shots lost in a net of Escamilla's arms when he goes up to the head. Some wild exchanges, both getting caught blind with shots but mostly missing. Otero tries to jab but Escamilla ducks back against the ropes. Uppercut by Escamilla jumping in, and then some erratic shots up close as he falls forward into a clinch. Thudding overhand right by Otero. Another, while eating a hook. Hard overhand right by Otero. Both are just swinging their arms all the way around and bringing them down after declaring their intentions through a megaphone.
