i really dont understand the hate for this kid :huh :huh

    nobody is overating him
nobody is saying he's gonna be a world beater
nobody is saying he's better than anybody else
nobody is rating him amongst the best prospects out there
    nobody is creating hype train's

i mean, the hate this kid get's is ****en amazing...he's simply somebody who loves to fight that happens to have a last name that really means something to boxing fans....

is it the PPV'S , cause if it is, then just don't pay for them....i mean, if you hate the kid then why cry cause he's on PPV...:huh :huh

the kid has improved dramatically in his career and has now showed his BALLSY side of him....before when he was ko'ing everybodyk, people wanted to see him box....against his last opponent from italy, he did just that and got **** for it....people were now saying he was too cautious....now he showed his gritty side and some killer instinct and people still find loop holes in him to talk **** about.....

i think the whole amateur thing is getting old now, but in the beginning it was true to a certain extent...now, he's showed alot of more sides to him as a fighter/boxer that i dont even bring up his lack of amateur experience...

he was fighting a man who since his first loss, hasn't been stopped and that's been like 4 years....also, VANDA has faced some pretty good competition and is somewhat now gonna be a good trial horse for the 154 pound division.....

i love watching the kid fight though...to see his dad in his corner yelling at his son is ****en amazing....the same kid that was on his shoulders during his career....the same kid we ALL ****EN WONDERED WHAT HE WOULD BE LIKE AS A FIGHTER....

Exactly man. **** his last name this kid comes to fight. I mean sure he doesn't have the snap on his punches a world class fighter does. But he's got balls of steel. I'd pay 30 bucks to see a fight like the one we just saw.

Its as clear as day why Jr. is hated by so many.......his name happens to be Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

As there were alot of Mexicans who loved Chavez Sr.

.....there are more (mostly non-Mexican) who hated Chavez Sr. with a deep passion.

Its not at all hard to understand Freddy.

i don't get it either. despite this one robbery a couple of years ago, i think he always brought good performances (though i haven't seen all of them).

it's completely crazy to compare him to his father. if this argument is still brought up, people should see that it's not a bad but a positive thing to have a famous as **** father whose legacy you'll never be able to touch anyway, but to still go into the ring and fight. it's a sign of courage and deserves respect.

the reason is simple: people dont like to see a guy with a 40-0 or something without ever having fought a contender.

sure, he never was an amateur......but neither was tye fields. and people started hating on him too cause he was fighting only third raters.

and in mexico, its not uncommon for fighters having only 15 amateur fights before going pro at 16. and they dont get the super soft treatment when they go pro.
and its not like chavez jr. only picked up the gloves three days before his first pro fight!! im sure he had good trainers and quality sparring for at least a year or two before he put on the gloves for pay. so that makes up for a few amateur fights.

the point is: if you want to fight like an amateur, fight amateur and not pro. the people can find out if you can really fight or are just a hype job.

people hate blow up records. they hated on tye fields (who never fought amateur). why shouldnt they hate on chavez jr.??

Did you just compare Chavez Jr. to Tye Fields?

Your argument lost all credibilty right there.

why not since he's carrying his father name and i believe chavez sr. also had the same path. He was 40+ something win record before fighting for his first title shot. In fact prior to his first title fight chavez sr. had the same caliber of guys jr. has been fighting. Look it up on boxrec.

If he goes 50-0 something and hasn't done **** yet then criticized him

At 22 he's just a kid still, doesn't even have his man strength yet and that showed last night. Most important was he didn't have a mental melt down when Vanda came on strong, and showed his heart to the point of exhaustion. He'll be a good fighter down the road. For now I look forward to seeing him fight Camacho jr and maybe even Campas.

I don't get it either. Alot of mexican fighter's with no or limited amatuer experience fight bum's to build themselevs up. They are basically learning on the job.

No one is saying he is going to be as good as his dad but the kid has heart. Let him be.

You say he didn't have to go to war? What fight were you watching? After the 6th round he was too gassed to get off his stool, too tired to even move in the ring. Standing and punching was all he could do.

The scores for Chavez (97-93, 100-90) were disgraceful. A draw or 96-95, 96-94 for Vanda or Chavez would have been just fine. Anything other than that is criminal and thats why our sport is in so much trouble.

All Mexican fans should be ashamed to be associated with such a promotion. If there is any honor or pride in Chavez he'll take a rematch in Vanda's hometown.

I've talked to my Mexican buddies an he said Chavez Jr will not go nowhere.

He also scored the DOnaire-Solis a Draw.

All Mexicans should be ashamed of the Judging in Mexico. Go find those Bad Judges and Banned forever in Boxing!!!!
