Julio Cesar Chavez loaded gloves?

    Most times yes a fighter isn't wearing loaded gloves I'll give you that, but theres nothing wrong with being suspicious given that boxing in general has poor procedures in place to make sure both fighters are clean.

    I don't know, but there are some hints pointing that Chavez could have used loaded gloves. He was a close friends of Margarito who was known to try to use loaded gloves in his fight with Mosley and Cotto. His son Chavez jr is known to refuse to have his gloves weighed before a fight [http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/06...-have-chavez-jrs-gloves-weighed-turned-down/]. He was also with Don King, a dubious figure who is corrupt, he very well could have been responsible for the Whitaker draw among other things.

    These are just hints though not clear cut proof I admit and I guess while hard to believe that he could have caused the damage without loaded gloves.

    Taylor went on to fight for many more years. His speech/brain damage was not just the result of that one night.

    The Chavez fight was in 1990, Taylor only eventually retired in 2002.

    Do you think there's a good chance Chavez was a PED user as well?
    Chavez is good friends with Fernando Vargas who roided for DLH!

    That's another possibility but I'm mainly focusing on the Taylor fight.

    There aren't any hints that Chavez was roiding. His stamina was basically the same and he wasn't very muscular. Also steroids don't really help you as much as loaded gloves do so it's not that big of a concern.

    Against who was Chavez muscular against?

    When did he appear to have unbelievable out of the norm stamina?

    Help us out here, you know more than the rest of us.
    You think maybe Chavez was roided when he toyed and KO'd Greg Haugen who had never been stopped before?

    Camacho maybe? I total ass kicking!


    Muscle and maybe stamina means roid usage, I have that on my notes now. :good

    Stop bringing up **** without facts you might as well question taylor being on PEDS while you're at it too_Only cause he brutalized one of your fav fighters.I feel bad for him really do it's no laughing matter, but If Chavez had loaded gloves he would've probably killed him.

    No I simply saw this fight after looking at Julio Cesar Chavez career and seeing who he fought. This was mentioned as one of his greatest accomplishments so I watched some of it (round 12 especially), the mid rounds but not the whole thing.

    I don't dislike chavez at all, he's an amazing fighter but the loaded gloves idea passed through my mind after looking at Taylor's face and later career and speech because of it and though I'd share this with this forum.
