Lee gets beat up by average pressure fighters, Chavez did nothing special that night, ask Mcewan or Vera.

Chavez Jr has nothing we havent seen before, he's easy to find and while durable he is infact human despite what esb would have you believe.

Also he's a juicer, no place for cheats in a sport as high risk as boxing!

JCC Jr. is an above average pressure fighter. His body shots are brutal, and he doesn't mind taking shots. Lee didn't have enough pop to back Jr. up, nor the footwork to avoid the shots.

Martinez will move much more, whether or not he can slow down Jr.'s advances will determine the outcome of the fight.

You forget that Chavez jr is a cash cow and backed by Sulaiman. Not saying Chavez cant beat Sergio but Maravilla is gonna have to go for the KO.

One positive thing to take from the Lee fight is Chavez looked slimmed down, not as pudgy as he's been sometimes in the past. It looks like he actually trained hard instead of just taking diuretics or sweating it out in a sauna. Something to keep in mind.

Martinez is nowhere near as durable as Andy Lee.
Lee's mistake in the Jr. Fight was he tried to match Chavez shot for shot.

Sergio will be trying to land one punch at a time from angles and the outside.
What Martinez team ain't expecting is a backing up Chavez forcing Martinez forward.
(Looks like Roach is looking to flip the script)

I wonder if Chavez Jr will be able to land his left hook to the body against a fast and skilled southpaw who keeps his hands low... Chavez's straight right is nothing to write home about, while Sergio's straight left is accurate and deadly.

Also, Martinez showed some great in fighting skills against Williams in their 2nd fight. He'll handle the pressure much better than Lee.

    I take Martinez by KO.

I thought Lee was gonna knock him out too and Chavez won impressively

I'm from Ireland, have followed Lee from 2004 olympics, i'm a fan, know his strengths and weaknesses, i had no doubt in my mind that Lee would get beat in that fight! And i've been in and around this site for quite a while!

Lee was able to land the same lefts that Martinez has in his arsenal so i think Martinez wont have any issues finding his target

Lee got dumb and started taunting and trading with Chavez despite boxing well and doing good he got stupid and traded and stopped

Martinez must take note and use the same left Lee used but ignore the same unnecessary exchanges Lee didnt

I think Chavez's style will bring out lots of Martinez's flaws but overall i think Martinez hits a gear that Chavez doesnt have

Martinez hit another level when struggling vs Barker and Macklin and he turned it up,,he did the same thing closing the show vs Pavlik

Chavez will have to use pressure and body punching to make sure he is too worn down to reach that level

Chavez also has an underrated right to the head, he really ****ed up Lee with that punch

do you think Martinez is 100 percent clean??

not to call you out or anything but with lots of boxers getting caught on peds and what not dont you think its a little dumb to hate on a guy you think is cheating

assuming he does something illegal how many fighters do you think use some form of substance knowingly for their fights

I imagine the number is higher than you think

Ye your right, but Chavez has been caught both using performance enhancers and also a substance on another occasion was detected, a substance used to hide peds, so from there thats two occasions where we know he was on something!
