I think the problem is how he grew up. he must have "had it all " growing up from childhood; which is the reason I feel he lacks passion.
Very true but one thing you can't take away from senior is that he at least took the sport seriously ..
that was not always the case, im just going to leave this right here. I remember reading this when leading up to the fight, I was still able to find it online. http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/1998-09-17/sports/9809160621_1_hoya-la-hours
That article doesn't sumnarize Chavez whole career ...And lets not forget that against Oscar he was already on the down slide ..
Thanks for the link. Here's another, later article by the same journalist (Bill Plaschke) that's also quite interesting. I've always thought that Junior was limited, disinterested and under committed. He seems to lack the passion and dedication. Perhaps Junior is simply fighting for the sake of his father and not for himself? https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CC4QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Farticles.latimes.com%2F2005%2Fmay%2F25%2Fsports%2Fsp-plaschke25&ei=EGdIUt-bMMWAhQecr4CQCQ&usg=AFQjCNE_oFyRY-DpjvxK22TZgNcC0wp4DA&sig2=5AWXCimTrihcOlpk3h2bqA&bvm=bv.53217764,d.bGE
Again anyone who understands their relationship knows Jr. Can give 2 ****s about how/what his father thinks. The kid has been making his own money since he was young boy (obviously off the name at first) but ultimately with his own fists. I wouldn't doubt it if he lends Sr. $$$ & prob has three times his dad's bank account.
I got the link working now, so you can read the article. But, yeah, I don't doubt what you're saying. Probably right.
What talent? You mean telegraphing shots from a mile away? Getting hit like he is a punching bag? Getting tired after 1 round? Please tell me this 'talent' you speak of. PED's/coming in 40lb's over the other guy/gift decisions are the only thing keeping him going.
