It's like you have to be a supreme boxer and win every round to impress people.

Merely knocking them the **** out doesn't seem to do.

I will just say aswell to people like Jeff, Froch was hardly dominated. It was much closer than some people gave it.

 

Chavez broke MT down gradually, and had MT pissing blood for months. Froch threw a bunch of hayemakers until one connected and JT having a weak chin/stamina whatever couldnt hold up.

One was impressive, the other was a great accomplishment for a limited fighter, but hardly a boxing masterclass.

 

I had Froch needing a 10-9 round in the 12th to get a draw. The 10-8 or 10-7 would have won him the fight on my card.

 

I, like most people around had MT ahead at the end of 11. So clearly he could have run all 12 and still win the fight. Doesn't mean Chavez was a joke. Means MT was in a SUPREME condition that day and was determine to win.
Don't even think about the months after the fight. MT wan never the same after that fight. He lives everyday with problems related to that fight. He was never the same.

 

There was no domination in this fight. Most of the rounds were very close, quite a few went to Froch. The last two rounds Froch was too trong for Jermain and knocked him out. Most refs would wave it off on the first knock down, he didnt fully get up at the count of 9 not to mention it was a slow ass count.

 

Why do people say this?

He took bad beatings throughout his career, and fought too long.

He took beatings in both Chavez fights. He took a deal of punishment against Brown. He got beat up by Norris. He took a beating by Espana.

Somehow, people equate him being brain-damaged to "he got brain damaged by Chavez alone".

 

its called double standards. chaves is allowed to get away with that but no-one else loooool

 

Not saying other fights didn't affect him. But he wasn't the same after his first Chavez fight. His first loss and it was a brutal fight. That always takes a toll.

 

Meldrick Taylor was doing a lot of the landing, but he was doing a lot of the bleeding too. He had a brokern orbital bone. He had a huge gash in the inside of his mouth which caused him to swallow quite a bit of blood. His face was swollen. He was also urinating blood. JCC was no joke.

Now compare that to last night's fight.

There is no comparison. Jermain Taylor fought like he always does. He starts off good and fades late. This time it caught up with him and he got KO'd.

 

after the fight Chavez didnt have a scratch and MT looked like he had been in a car accident.

 

i don't even remember the last time i saw a Chavez fight, **** his fights.......

 

Why all the hate for Chavez? You can argue that Chavez was a bit overrated, but to compare him to Froch? Pure ignorance.

 

Froch beat 2 top 10 SMW's, who has Chavez beaten??
