One guy stopped at 135 for a cup of coffee, the other had a long and illustrious career based on his performances there. But they are not allowed to throw their resumes at each other in this bout. I believe that Chavez was at his absolute peak from the Castillo fight thru the second Mayweather fight, which includes his brief run at 135 and his magnificent destruction of Rosario. Take that version of Chavez and pit him against a version of Williams from a similar 15 or so fight run of your choosing. How does this play out stylistically and who comes out on top?
I have to pick Ike. He had power that could even dent JCC chin. To me, Duran is a level above Chavez, whilst Ike at his peak is at that same level. Chavez isn't.
