Guaranteed war. How does this go at:

    130?
    135?
    140?

Armstrong, because I like him more :)

But seriously, who knows? At this point it's impossible to pick, it all depends on who'd be in better form on given night.

I think Armstrong takes it. He's stronger, tougher, throws more and is the better in-fighter. Not many people have those advantages over Chavez, but Hank does IMO. I reckon he takes a UD at all 3 weights. The variable here is how does Chavez improve on his performances.

Chavez at 130 could box a bit more, and I think he could maybe emulate an Ambers like performance, but my money wouldn't be placed on that. At 135 and 140, he's brawling with the beast, and I don't think he can tame him.

I think while Armstrong is a little stronger and throws more, Chavez is the better thinker and a little more well rounded. Since both of them are as tough as nails, it might boil down to that and Chavez could just barely win a decision. Not really sure.

I think Chavez is the more patient, more accurate, harder puncher. That makes the difference here.

Chavez is technically much better than Armstrong. Better tighter defense, better head movement, better footwork, better puncher, better combination puncher, better jab, better right hand, better body puncher

Chavez wide UD or late stoppage

Boxing improved after Armstrong's days. Which of the strengths of Chavez's I highlighted do you disagree with?

    Better tighter defense
    Better head movement
    Better footwork
    Better puncher
    Better combination puncher
    Better jab
    Better right hand
    Better body puncher

I'd also add, better at cutting off the ring and better uppercut

    Nothing indicates that.
    I disagree with:
    Better head movement
    Better footwork
    Better puncher
    Better body puncher
Better at cutting off the ring

Nobody is better than Henry at cutting off the ring.

It would be a hurricane against a tank. Ultimately the hurricane (Armstrong) will eventually overwhelm even a strong tank (Chavez). Armstrong just had a bit more engine and fierce aggression that can match with Chavez's more patient come forward style. I can see Chavez winning 1 fight out of 3 but I think Armstrong's style would give Chavez hell IMO.

Armstrong is an all time pound for pound great on any list ,,,Chavez is not. Hank out works him for a UD.
