It's not my fault you typed "2-1 to Corrales", which generally means "Corrales won the series 2-1". But whatever. Yeah, my mistake, didn't realise it was a UD for Freitas, but it was still a hotly disputed decision. I haven't seen if for years, so I won't venture on opinion on this. Thought Casa was the more deserving candidate against Castillo, although I'm not outraged by the idea that some people scored it a point either way. No one is saying Casa has a better resume, or is a better figther than Chavez, but styles make fights, and I was just canvassing for opinions :good
I won't argue that his losses are close (except the one to Corrales I just can't see a way to score that fight for him) but they are not robberies like some claim and if you don't do that little extra to put the fight in the bank you can't get mad when it doesn't go your way. As for the styles make fights point, it's true but Chavez has the style to cut the ring off and hurt Casa. Like I said earlier. Casa is a very good boxer but not a great one.
I didn't score it, but on the night I thought Santa Cruz won. But my opinions often change on second viewings.
The only reason we are having an argument about this fight in this thread is because we are arguing with a fans perspective point of view, not with a neutral. Chavez by TKO.
There is no argument. People giving opinions in a reasonable and considered way doesn't amount to arguing.
It would be a fight not to miss. Chavez was dominant at LW, one of the best. Casa would have some moment, but by the 6th all the body shots would of started to take effect. i see casa tko'd by the 9th.
