:) Best topic in boxing. Chavez comes through... Richard Steele makes the right decision.

Taylor was a brilliant fighter. Chavez was one of the best of all time.

Great fight, good stoppage - though controversial - but a good stoppage. Both fighters fought an excellent fight - Chavez's greatness came through in a brilliant performance.

Haha. I'd rather only do it in fights where it was close.

Taylor won almost every round of the fight...However, for some reason though, HBO commentators made it seem like chavez wasn't competitive...he was; he landed a lot of hard shots throughout the fight which led to taylor being all bloody, bruised up, eyes shut etc.

In regards to the stoppage...I dont know...I've gone back and forth on it a lot. It's hard for me to say it's a bad stoppage because Taylor did not acknowledge the ref wen asked if he was alright and the ref did not know there were only 2 seconds left.

Taylor did not win almost every round, though he was comfortably ahead due to the fact that he'd been landing more frequently due to his greater handspeed and higher punch output. Chavez, on the other hand, was landing the more effective blows throughout, even while losing most rounds (I had Taylor up 8-3, possibly 7-4, through 11). I thought the stoppage was controversial for good reason, but could also be justified. Regardless of whether or not you think Taylor deserved to win the fight, Chavez proved himself in the end.

Bad decision by Steele but he shouldn't be crucified for it. I blame Lou Duva more than anyone.

It wasn't. I was misled by inept judges which led the fight to being a draw.
