Oscar would beat Chavez quite easily IMO. Dont rate Chavez as much as some on here obviously do, dont think he's **** but I think he is made out to be a legend due to his nationality at times. Oscar was a far better boxer, with a granite chin and just a hurtful.

Yeah there you go and thats why I think he is overated, because he came around when Mexico had nothing else to celebrate. I'm not saying he was ****, far from it I thought he was a class fighter but I think he is overated a'la Ricky Hatton. Big following, led the public to believe he was better than he was, every defeat was an excuse, struggled like **** against Taylor, should have been beat by Whitaker and would have been if he'd have rematched him the cut in the first DLH fight and total mismatch in the second and yes I know he was past his best then but Oscar was green as ****. And I hate how bitter he is. Every Oscar fight in recent years we've had this dirty bitter man siding with whoever is fighting Oscar. Good fighter, not legendary (thats because of his status in Mexico in my opinion) but a complete **** of a man

So how exactly does that work, Chavez becomes a legend in Mexico and then all the experts decide that he must be really good because Mexican people say he's a legend:think

DId you ever hear of PIpino Cuevaz, Bazooka Limon, Ruben Olivarez, Salvador Sanchez, Carlos Zarate, Lupe Pintor, Alfonso Zamora, etc.

Gonz... Most of them had been and gone by the Chavez era. Mexico (especially in boxing) had little else to support around this time. He was overated and was fed **** fighters for a big part of his early career and made into some unbeaten legend before he started to take the decent fights out there. He did beat some very good fighters but Oscar would have outpointed him and I have no question about that !

Here is the thing, to outpoint chavez you must box some way like whitaker, specially a prime chavez who wasnt the one who faced whitaker he wasnt shot or something like that but it wasnt prime chavez either and the problem comes here: dlh likes to trade and you just cant trade with a prime chavez, if you saw the oscar-vargas fight oscar was winning when the ko came but he did have trouble with vargas, the fight was close and he was in trouble on some points of the fight, now imagine what chavez could do? he(a prime chavez) would definitely not get koed against oscar so thats why i see a very close fights until the championships rounds come, chavez takes care of hoya in the late rounds it might be by stoppage or close ud...
