Earlier in his career Chavez was a killer, especially at 130 pounds. The Chavez who blew away Roger Mayweather would certainly beat the 130 pound version of DeLaHoya.
At 135 the Delahoya who destroyed Ruelas would have given the Chavez that hammered Rosario a pretty good fight, but I'd still go with Chavez. By the time he was at 140 Chavez was already on the slide, but still better than most. Chavez lost to Oscar towards the end of his career, but those results at 140 and 147 are not indicitive of who was the better and more accomplished fighter, which was Chavez.

sorry to bust you bubble nutthugger but a guy that almost lost to Lockridge and Laporte is far from being unbeatable.

also the Whitaker fight was only controversial cause the judges were paid by Don King to make sure that JCC retained his undefeated record in a fight he clearly lost.

Look at this desperate nutthugger bringing Pac to a discussion that has nothing to do with him.

you said he was unbeatable in his prime thats straight nutthugging right there.

theres no such thing as an unbeatable fighter specially one that almost lost and some think he actually did against average guys like Laporte and Lockridge.

It's a 50/50 fight for me. But I'd go with Oscar based on power, speed, and styles.

Oscar had one thing that Taylor didn't, and that is a shotgun jab.
