    The TS clearly stated that both fighters would be in their prime(though JCC was not prime at 147).

    Williams gets hit too much and a fighter like Chavez would be able to exploit that. Also, Williams rangy body would be there all night for Chavez's to land his best best weapon.

    If a fighter like Quintana can outbox Williams, Chavez would have no problem doing it. And you can forget about Williams being able to KO Chavez, his chin was probably sturdier than Margarito's.

    He has never faced anyone that would give him the type of disadvantges that Paul would. And on top of that, how is he going to KO him again?:lol::lol::lol:

    dont compare this no skill having, opponent duckin wind milling bum to the great julio cesar chavez, williams will move up to light heavyweight to avoid this fight.

    Chavez was never that great at 147.

    135/140 is a different story.

    paul 'the black margarito' williams will talk all kinds of **** about people ducking him but when they man up to fight he jumps up or down a division and fights a old shot fighter, thats how he rolls.

    Williams, definitely! Who ever said Chavez was a great welterweight? Chavez was a great fighter, but not a great welterweight. Williams has enough size advantage to beat Chavez. I don't think Paul would knock him out though.

    chavez never won a fight at 147 against a ranked guy...how many did he even have at 147? maybe 8 put of 100 pro fights? hardly prime...close thread

    Prime Chavez at 147 huh? Ok, lets say Chavez was as great at 147 as he was at 135...<--- That version of Chavez TKOs Williams.

    but he was never a real welterweight...in his first fight at 147 was schooled by whitaker.....then he dropped back down to 140......and fought there for another 10 fights until DLH tkod him at 147.....then lost to willie wise at 147
    i think paul williams beats up chavez at 147
