I think you'll find its just the typical ESB lick Duran's balls fest.

First off,Mexicans don't speak like that,Chicanos do(No offense to either as I have respect for both).Secondly, those who would say such a thing obviously did NOT see the Frankie Randall-Chavez fight-no offense to Chavez either,as I think he was a great warrior-but he did opt out when the blood was flowing.

A converted south paw....you mean you fought correctly and were switched because your trainer doesn't know squat.......go back to where you started. You will just end up another slapsy can't punch off balance south paw.....and you could have had it all. Foolishness.....

If Duran beats Chavez, it would be quite an accomplishment. Besides Ray who fought his fight, Duran did not beat another great in his whole career.

1)cause duran made ray fight that fight, cause duran's awesome

2)you're right. he only beat one real great. if he fought chavez, he'd have beaten two

Yeah he made an inexperienced guy fight his fight because he called his wife a name. But then Ray fought his fight in the second fight and made Duran quit.
But he did not beat Chavez. And with Ray, Ray beat him 2 times after the first fight easily. Duran is overrated. I try not to comment on these threads.. But when it gets to the point where people say he would just walk over Chavez, then I have to respond. And Chavez would have stopped Dejesus.

I'll root for Chavez, if that's what you mean by take, but I give Duran the edge right now. Close fight that's for sure.

the more I think about it, the harder it is to decide...it's that damn close.

At least you get it. Some other cats jumped in here with their bias and bringing **** up that has nothing to do with how the fight would go.

ray did win in the follow ups and duran, at the very least on this thread, is being overrated. but i don't think people are picking duran overwhelmingly because he's so much better than chavez but because this is a bad match up for jcc. duran would have won, maybe not as easily as many including myself have said, but i still think chavez is at a stylistic disadvantage
