Winky spent a lot time backing Mosley up in their fight..Catching Shane's flurries on his guard and outjabbing him.

Chavez would win using a similar gameplan IMO..JCC was good defensively and had a great, well timed and hard jab of his own.

I also think he has the power to force Shane to give ground and be less effective.

Winky backed Mosley up most of the time and imposed himself on him, timing Shane with his jab to disrupt his fluid offense.

Chavez was a supreme pressure fighter, as good as there has ever been. His ability to cut off the ring was amazing, he had a great arsenal of punches including an excellent jab, was brilliant at timing and placing his punches for deadly precision, and had sound defense himself. He was good at every range, but at his best on the inside where he was a machine at his peak. Mosley's aggressive nature is going to lead to an inside fight, where Chavez was superior. He was clearly a more refined technical fighter than Mosley.

It would be an awesome fight, with great exchanges, but the more accurate puncher would come out on top, and that's Chavez.

Winky was a natural 154lber who had a far superior defense and jab to Chavez, which was constantly working at a rapid fire pace and Mosley still fought him close. Chavez defense was good for a come forward swarmer, but as in the whitaker, Randall, and Taylor fight, he wasnt particularly hard to find.

At this weight I think Mosleys power and strength was superior, as Mosley was able to carry this power up to 154.

Im not sure what that has to do with this fight..Shane's power was not super impressive at lightweight..He just fought a level of opposition that made it look that way.

His speed and aggressive nature forced a lot of stoppages..But he often laboured a bit to put guys away even when it was evident he was levels above them.

Im not saying he wasnt a puncher for the weight..He was very good one. But so was Chavez, if not more so. And as cobra said the better technician.

Winky did absolutely nothing "far superior" to Chavez at any point of his career..His jab was/is very good, his defense was/is very good but not far superior to JCC, no way. Overall JCC is far superior.

He has a career 75% KO percentage of which he took up to higher weights with stoppages over Rivera, Diaz, Vargas X2, Mayorga and Margarito. Not like any of these guys were known for their exceptional beards except Mayorga in his younger days and Margarito, but still impressive. I sincerly doubt Chavez had more power then Mosley. Mosley was faster and stronger, and the faster you punch the harder you punch according to physics.

Chavez may have been the technician, but Mosley could box with the best of them, and slug with the best of them. Chavez struggled against Taylor, and i think Mosley is almost as fast and many times stronger then Taylor.

I like Mosley by decision. He has the heart, speed, chin, stamina, and power to get the job done. Chavez makes it very close and yes JCC is more versatle but this is a bad styles matchup for him. Very few in history can stand in front of Chavez and beat him. Mosley is one of those fighters.
