It was being mooted for 147 I think.

No he wouldn't have. With a chin like his picking him to definitely beat, for example, Trinidad, is a stretch IMO.

I dont see how Chavez could win. He wasnt as good at 140 let alone 147.

i would take norris over trinidad, dela, whitaker, chavez. but trinidad would be a real dangerous assignment. could see both go down and finish within round 5. maybe trinidad but i woudl be with norris. better skills, better combinations, uses the ring more, stronger physically.

Why Trinidad has a somewhat shaky chin, with an open defense and a slow starter himself. Norris would almost certainly land first

I agree PP, the difference in speed would be the determining factor.

Pretty good inside info, Terry and Trinidad pretty much always fought on the under cards of Chavez fights in the 90's too.

Trinidad/Norris could have been one for the ages.

When has Tito ever been taken out by anything other than a sustained beatdown?

Norris would need 9 lives to do the damage Hopkins did before Ko'ing Trinidad.

Norris just loved calling out those smaller fighters didn't he.He would have hyped a fight with Carbajal if he had the chance.

Yeah but he could give Tito problems with his speed and movement. I would still probably favor Trinidad to land something but I could also see Norris winning a UD. Look at the problems the one handed DLH gave him..

Norris would outbox him, but I don't think anyone would deny that. But I have trouble seeing Norris going 12 rounds with Tito. DLH, although one handed, was a better mover and more importantly had a better chin that Norris.

For sure. And probably even hurting Tito badly at some point.

Yes, I could also see Norris flattened by Trinidad late.

Norris was not a particularly big light middleweight so i dont think the weight would of been a problem, plus he did say in one of his interviews that he could make 147 comfortably.

Chavez was not a particularly big puncher above Lightweight and Norris has a speed advantage of hand and foot, Norris was also a combination puncher, now i think the best way to beat Chavez was to throw lots of punches and keep him on the defense, if he is playing defense he cant really get off as he not really the type to punch when you punch, to punch with you , Taylor threw something like 100 punches a round at him, Randall also threw a lot of punches and kept him busy, i see Norris doing the same only Norris has more authority behind his shots and better legs than both of those fighters.
