Chavez is the better career fighter but Loma has the tools for a UD win, might lean towards Chavez to get to him though.

I have noticed that Loma fights somewhat passively on the backfoot. That would absolutely be to his detriment against Chavez. Chavez wins a competitive but one-sided decision.

Chavez is definitely winning this. Salido happened and then Lomachenko stopped fighting Mexican style guys, but still lost to Teofimo.

Another vote for Chavez. If Loma thought Salido was rough... Salido wouldn't last 5 rounds against Chavez.

I think Chavez catches him. Especially at 135 and below, he cut angles so damn well.

Remember Loma lost to a pressure fighter like Teofimo Lopez. Julio Caesar Chavez Sr was a pressure fighter who hits harder that Lopez and is very determined in the ring. This fight reminds me of the Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor title unification bout on March 17 1990. Chavez breaks down Loma during the fight for a TKO 12.

On top of that, Teo isn’t even a true pressure fighter. His natural style is counterpunching.

Chavez in his prime has fought and beaten all kinds of styles except Whitaker. He would have no problem with knowing how to deal with a fighter like Loma, who is no Sweet Pea.

And that wasn't his prime weight either against Whitaker, Chavez at Lightweight and Super Featherweight is a whole different animal.
