Boxer - puncher is the most generally apt, though he is the type who veers far more to 'puncher' than 'boxer'. I'd personally call him an intelligent slugger / brawler, an example of that style being the great Carmen Basilio. He is great at shifting, though it is something that could get him a flash knockdown or more one day.
