Maybe that's why he's getting booed, spending too much time on relatively frivolous stuff like this and not tending to mayoral duties. :conf

Too bad that camera angle had one of Pingo's cornermen blocking the view with his broad back. :twisted: All you could make out over his fat head was the towering figure of Cortez.

 

Round 1

Jabs to the body by Viloria. Good movement, and a BIG counter that drops Miranda. Overhand right by Viloria as he tries to pick up where he left off. He thrusts a hard jab as Miranda drifts back to the ropes. Miranda gets his bearings and throws a hard right hand. Viloria is moving and defending well, leading Miranda along and then working some right uppercuts as he is tied up by the flailing Mexican. They exchange power shots, just missing as their heads move offline with their own momentum. Viloria lines up a nice 1-2 on the kisser. Jabs from Viloria as he circles left. Wild left hook by Miranda misses. Miranda bangs his gloves together, pumping himself up as he comes forward. Viloria keeps backing up, watching.

Round 2

Viloria pops quick jabs into the face of Miranda and stays moving around, very fast and elusive on his feet. Miranda is just chasing recklessly after him and throwing hard shots, missing badly. Viloria is lighting him up with just jabs. Miranda tries to get a few body shots in, swinging underhanded and with force. Viloria just steps in to smother these shots and take them on the hip, then move back outside and work the jab. Long right hand to the body by Viloria after having taken a few steps back, causes Miranda to retreat about a yard and gain Viloria even more room. Viloria is doing very well from the outside. One more right to the belly by Viloria.

Round 3

Viloria comes forward on a cushion of air, effortlessly digging a hook and then moving back outside. Now Viloria rapidly circles as Miranda comes at him in a straight line. Counter hooks to the body from Viloria with his wheels spinning. Miranda is spun into the ropes and hammered as he walks right on to a volley. Miranda tries to plan a left uppercut on Viloria while holding with his right arm. Viloria is able to slip punches even with an arm around his back, just a blur of motion. Miranda lands a good solid southpaw 1-2 on Viloria as he circles. Miranda tries to follow up on his success with some hard pounding blows, but is avoided with quick footwork by Viloria.

Round 4

Viloria lands a pair of jabs and an uppercut all while backing up. Miranda is looking to smash him with an overhand left, running after him with his right arm held out to prop against his quarry. Viloria hunches himself up into a ball and uses his feet to stay just ahead of Miranda. Viloria flurries when Miranda gets right on top of him. Left hand to the jaw by Miranda, but Viloria is landing with a much greater volume and getting separation. Miranda puts in a few uppercuts while wading in. Viloria's legs are slowing just a bit, as he leans in and ties up. Miranda is yanking himself free and letting his fists fly, uncontrolled but determined. Viloria is forced to tie up frequently and is only getting a few isolated counters off to the body. Miranda is clubbing away and scoring a bit.

Round 5

Left hook by Viloria, and some quick movement. Miranda throws an overhand right and a left hook, now in the orthodox stance. Viloria is using the full ring, leading Miranda on wild goose chases and popping him with left hooks and straight rights. Viloria's legs are just working double-time. Miranda can't keep up. Viloria isn't just running, though - he's stopping and throwing a single punch or short combo every few paces. It's just enough movement to disallow Miranda any of his lumbering clubbing offense. Miranda gets his right arm around Viloria's neck and shoves him down to the mat. Cortez calls for a clean break and Viloria quickly circles away upon getting up. Miranda is applying constant pressure, and nearly traps Viloria on the ropes. Again Miranda's arm is rested and driven down on the back of Viloria's neck as the challenger ducks against the ropes.

Round 6

Viloria jabs and circles. Miranda rushes him, but loses out to the superior foot speed of Viloria. Every inch of the ring is being used as Viloria spirals around it. Hard counter 1-2 by Viloria, thrown off balance, hurts Miranda! Viloria keeps peppering him as Miranda staggers back and tries to regain his poise. Viloria steps off the gas and lets Miranda come back to him so he can resume countering. Miranda gets up close and whacks him with a right hand. Now some body shots by Miranda. Big left hook to the stomach in answer by Viloria. Miranda presses into him, pushing with his shoulder and upper arm and working his hands low. Cortez pauses to have Miranda's mouthpiece replaced. Big left hook to the body by Viloria with a quick bend of the knees. Another. Miranda is getting pushed to the ropes while tossing out uppercuts. Viloria is giving Miranda a taste of his own medicine, digging in with his shoulder and driving him back throwing body shots. Miranda's utter lack of ability to fight backing up is getting exposed.
