Will Manny Pac do for the Phillipines what Chavez did for Mexican boxing. For the last 20 years or so Mexican fighters have been a staple of The Ring magazine's top 10 PFP list. Most of this attributed to the influence JC Chavez had on Mexican boxing. I believe Manny's influence is already being felt. The Ring's current list includes two Filipinos, will they become a major force in boxing for the next decades to come.:think Discuss!

seriously speaking, you gotta remember chavez not only became the mexican warrior prototype for mexicans, but the world over. many mexicans admire cotto's fighting style because it is similiar to chavez's. manny i think also has many fans throughout the world that isn't the philipines, but their is no doubt manny inspires his countrymen to follow his lead
There is a possibility that it may happen. Regarding filipino fighters in the top 10 p4p, i think its starting cause donaire just entered the top 10 list. I do feel that the philippine boxing age is coming.

If darchinyan is in the top 10 then his conqueror should also be. Donaire has a lot of talent and skills and i doubt you will not agree to that. Okay your gonna say who has he beaten except darchi? Donaire has done nothing since the Vic win.:deal Vic has moved up to greater things. He unified a division, beat top fighters, and now is moving up to try to conquer another one. If thats not pound for pound then nothing is. definitely pac would do por the pinoys what chavez did to my country, one figther that define an entire era, not only in the box, but in so many subjects too .... one real hero for the people, only happens once in a lifetime .... after Chavez we had Morales, Barreras, Marquez, Sotos, even Oscars ... but no way in hell another Chavez ... not again Same with you pinoys, Congratulations, you people dont have a great Fighter, have a Hero, a hero that is Defining an Era for your country ... enjoy it till will last ...
