How do you see this match up go at 154 between Zurdo and The Beast? Does Vasquez have the ability to bulldoze through Mugabi or does Mugabi’s power eventually take its toll on Vasquez?

Close fight, might lean towards Mugabi for once.

Zurdo was much more accomplished, likely the most accomplished fighter at this weight ever. He stuns and then stops Mugabi.

Cool match-up. Never thought of this one.

I think Mugabi was too big, strong and athletic at the weight. But you never know

Too big? They were same height and Zurdo was much stouter. JCV completely outclassed Winky Wright which beats everything on Mugabi's resume combined. He would sleep The Beast.

He was bigger physically and Winky hadn't yet been taught to box by Ike Quartey

Physically? By what measurement. I saw JCV fight live. He was a big ass 154 guy. His shoulders and jaw took up half the room.

Winky was 23 yrs old and had 25 pro fights under his belt. He was what he was.

Not that size is everything but Mugabi looked way bigger, I thought JCV looked fat in comparison. Certainly a way higher bodyfat with way less muscle.

Country strong. Thick jointed. Broad-shouldered. Dude hit guys and they stayed hit.

Weirdly, that fight could have happened, either when JCV was really green or when Mugabi was a bit shopworn. Ships passing in the night. I would put my money on JCV. Cheers!

Mugabi pre Hagler would stop Vazquez in 5-7 rounds.
