Two strong guys going at it in a 12 round fight. Who wins? vasquez-the -bull, or Jackson, he of the nullifying power?

jackson KO. to be honest, h2h it's hard to pick anyone over jackson. you've got to have movement, an iron chin, enough punch to earn his respect and technical skills. any one of those missing and you might be in for a long night or a very short one

Fighting off the urge to do it in this thread...

I'd favor Julian Jackson. Not gonna say HOW but I think we all know.

Vasquez definitly can beat Jackson but with him you never know. If it goes to the cards I favour Vasquez but I doubt it will.

You think that Vasquez was anywhere near his best then?

Considering Jackson hits about 15x harder, you don't think it evens out?

Vasquez was a year something off from giving Whitaker a EXTREMELY tough night. He wasn't shot, thats for sure. Almost exactly two years removed from beating the **** out of Winky as well.

Yeah but Vasquez was already considered past it when he fought Whitaker. And Vasquez was better than Tate who went the distance wih Jackson.

And read again what I wrote in my first post.

I don't think this is as much of a walkover as people here think. Vasquez could crack, and at his peak he was tough as nails; while Jackson's chin was average at best, and he sometimes had trouble with southpaw lefts.

I think Jackson's greater all-around ability might possibly see him through in the end, but this fight would be a real risk for him.

I think Vasquez would give Julian some rough moments with his strength, and he hit hard enough to get Julian in trouble. But then he walks into one too many Jackson bombs, and wakes up in Argentina.

Bottom line..... brawling with Jackson was a suicide mission.
