Classic Holt left hook ends it. I honestly thought Diaz would have outboxed him, guess i was wrong:yep
Diaz was doing okay but like Teddy I thought it was very risky to go after Holt early. The finish was slick and I think Flea would have seen his HELLACIOUS FATALITY if the ref had let Diaz fight on.:yep
One thing that annoys me about Holt though, is that he just doesnt do enough. Hes always waiting, waiting to counter or time his opponent coming in. That wont always work for him obviously, and its partly why Bradley was able to outwork him. Id like to see him take the lead and be agressive more often. That being said he closed the show in style, his right hands had no great effect on Diaz, but that big left hook he has is dangerous against anyone, as he proved against Julio tonight.
Evans Quinn V's Seth Mitchell now. I was keeping an eye on Quinn but as soon as I found out about him he didn't win a fight!
Yeah, he has a tendency to be lackidaisical at times, and can admire his own work. Coupled with the fact he doesn't have too good a chin, and he has been quite an inconsistent fighter. Still, class in spurts and with, as Scotty reminded me, a hellacious dig ;-)
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGfUDI2d2H4[/ame] Lovely low-to-high with the left hook, good stoppage, Diaz was ****ed. 1:33 for another view. Apparently Holt wants to stay at Welter??!? Don't like his prospects there, he's a decent sized 140lber but not ginormous, his lack of physicality and wobbly chin will see him do the same as he did at 140 IMO. Bailey Vs Holt anyone? :yep
Same here, thought he could end up top 10/15 in the division at some stage but he's being a bit of a let down. I'm sure Mitchell will be getting a lot of hype now, they're already proclaiming him as the best US HW prospect. edit: Thanks for that clip Flea, quality from Holt. Bailey-Holt would be brilliant, also Ortiz-Holt :yep
I agree with the latter, could just see Ortiz blowing him away early. However....Holt is in with a punchers chance. Ortiz is hittable, and can be hurt. I would probably say despite him being naturally smaller, that Holt is a harder puncher than Berto, and better offensively in general. I just think he's a bit too vulnerable. Saying that, he showed good powers of recovery in the 2nd fight with Torres and went tit-for-tat with him in their first fight....so who knows. Bailey could spark him, but Holt is fresher and could also turn the trick. For pure excitement, those two would be hard to better IMO, both massive punchers.
Yep, that would be quality. Zaveck seems a decent puncher as well from what I've heard, Hlatshawtyo (spelling? ) was no slouch and he got mullered.
Lovely finish from Kendall. Hopefully he can make some noise at 40 or 47 as he seems a sound guy. Still surprised that Mighty Mouse got up from that left hook after seeing the replay
