If it gets announced today as promised then I still say it wont happen. I think the fight will happen though..just not on that date - it will be postponed because Wlad wont be ready after fighting april 30 against Chisora. Its exactly 9 weeks from april 30 - july 2nd. Can Wlad fight, recover, re enter training camp and also promote the biggest (if only financially at the least) fight of his life?? Its possible but unlikely. If Wlad picks up any injuries in the Chisora fight you can scrub it straight away.

How long is a training camp usually 8-12weeks? Will Wlad really just have a couple of days off and straight back to camp? I guess you could argue he'd already be fit from the Chisora fight and so only has to keep himself in shape really...with all the promotion it is possible but unlikely - i see a postponment for sure.

Is the world going to end (again)?! :yikes

Seriously... why would this be a problem at all?
He will probably beat Derek easy, and then he can start his training for Haye (wich in my opinion isn't the stongest opponent he faced at all) and have enough time to take a short vacation inbetween.

Think of it this way, Axeman.

The Chisora fight is part of the promotion, and is part of Wlad's training. It's nothing more than a glorified training session in front of thousands of viewers, and he's getting paid for it.

I think it will happen. Never in the history of the world has it just skipped from July 1st to July 3rd so Im confident July 2nd will also happen this year.

Two fights in nine weeks for a guy who is always in shape shouldn't be a problem.

But you cant so no point moaning about it is there mr Chef. Larry says July 23rd...well that sounds more likely to me - as it gives another 3 weeks prep time.
