Respect from others don't mean **** unless you crave it.

I don't come to forums in search of respect....

I also said before I don't lie or make **** up, unless I'm ****ing around with a muppet like you.

People only lie if they know they've done the wrong thing or their life is so ****ed up they have to impress by talking themself up. If I think something is wrong I don't do it and I don't need to exagerate because shits good as it is.

The Australian Rugby League team (Kangaroos) used to play the French after their tour of England. A squad of 30 to 40 would play 3 tests against the Poms as well as playing a host of games against the club sides (Wigan, Leeds, Hull, Bradford, etc) in between those tests.

After that was done they'd play a one of test against France but often the Kangaroos would not play their best team, giving the guys that missed out against the English (they usually played the club games) a chance to play in an offical test. Because things weren't as professional back then the team usually played with a hangover (either celebratory or depression) which is why the French usually done well.

Overall the French never were considered the No.1 team, it was always England or Australia with New Zealand close behind although the French were competitive. Rugby Union was a different matter altogether as the French often beat the Wallabies in the late 70's early 80's. They even knocked us out in the World Cup semifinal when it was in Sydney. (Concord Oval) Many of the players in France's Rugby League squad were rugby union converts, going across because they couldn't make the Union test team.

maybe you should go back & re-evaluuate your percieved history of Rugby league

Some of the greatest players to ever play the game came out of France in the 50's, including the great Puig Aubert, they beat us in the best of three tests in 51 & 55.

In the 60's they reached the final of the world cup only to be beaten by Australia, they also beat us in a test in 63

Then on to the 70's which you mention, In 1978 France beat the Kangaroos 13-10 and 11-10 which remained Australia's last failed attempt to win an international series or competition until 2005
