I have nothing against Bob Arum. He's a terrific promoter, and he does a great job with his fighters. He has insulated his fighters from a lot of criticism as he's made it so any ill feelings are directed towards him. Make no mistake about it, if Pacquiao decides to fight Marquez again next instead of Mayweather, then the person that should be blamed the most is Pacquiao. Pacquiao is a seasoned vet and he's Top Ranks's cash cow. If he really wants the Mayweather fight, Arum can't stop it. Continuing to blame Arum does nothing as he's used to getting hated on. He's going to get paid regardless. This is all on Manny right now.

When Arum's time comes to step away from the sport, I for one will be bidding good riddance. That said, I seriously doubt that his philosophies and practices - that have been such a detriment to producing the best and the most in demand cards - will just magically discontinue when he does eventually leave boxing.

Manny knows quite well whats going on, he isn't stupid. At least he CAN'T be THAT stupid.

Did you notice how Manny was the one who avoided the "Floyd"-question after his latest "win" and sent the ball to arum.

Pac did no such thing. Kellerman asked him about a potential fight against Mayweather on May 5th to which Pac replied: "Well, let's get it on. Make the fight happen on May 5. Let's give the people a good fight."

What your probably referring to was when Max asked him about fighting JMM again, and his answer was: "Anytime, anytime. I'm a fighter and my job is to fight in the ring. It depends on my promoter Bob Arum."

The bandwagon is just now starting? I have known for what seems like forever that he is no good for the sport.

I just rewatched the interview because I was certain I remembered correct, but nope.
I stand corrected, you are 100% correct, I mixed up the 2 answers.

Btw. ty for pointing out my mistake without resorting to calling me a ******, ***** or another insult which is the common thing on this forum.

Actually, Manny did recant.... he did go back on his words. It was not during the immediate post-fight interview in reference, tho'... It was about 10 minutes AFTER that interview, when Pac was cornered along the corridors for further interviews by the media. To the same question as to whether he'd fight Floyd [next], he (Pacman) reverted to "I don't know, it depends on my promoter. I'll agree to whatever Bob Arum would decide."

Obviously, he's had some reality talk driven into him between the moment he did the immediate post-fight interview with Max, and when he was next interviewed by the media about 10 minutes later.

Sorry, I didn't think to keep the link to the video of that later interview, but it's there on YT for those interested.
