i loe runnin and skippin i find if im doin an aerobic style skip cuz im used to running long distance i can go 4 eva so i do 12x3 with 30 sec double unders 30 sec normal
Same here man...surely i can tire from sparring at times but running is just my anti-christ. I get on the treadmill at the gym and see all these people next to me running for 45 minutes. I chuckle at that because their warmup is my entire running workout.
Are you familiar with resting moves?? You should incorporate those into your routine. That can extend your time. I honestly only do 15 minutes at a time but I can easily do 30 and when I'm really trainng I can go 45 mins to a half hour. My recommendations is incorporate some resting moves which is swinging the rope in a figure 8 movement. Also, do what I call sides where you go outside of your jump and turn your waist either left or right and swing the rope 4 times then turn to the other side and do the same. Then go back into your figure 8 movement. That can buy you about 10 seconds and you're still no where near a resting BPM point. Heres a brief clip of me. Pardon the quality, it's from a cell phone.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss-XbeRmmEw
something about taking rests while jumping rope, why would any one want to do that? training is not supposed to be easy, if its easy you're doing something wrong.
You're obviously missing the point. training is not supposed to be easy, if its easy you're doing something wrong. D'oh... You don't say..
^WTF!!?? Oh yeaaah... im still alive people! somewhat.... Yeah just keep at it, do alittle more each time. Me personally at about 140 RPM, I feel like I can go on forever. I like to go just about as fast as I can, still being able to control the rope so I don't mess up and keep that pace for a 3 min round/1 min rest 8-10 times.
