Jumproping workout?

    what does jumpin rope 4 a long period of time help with. i would appreciate any info on jumpin rope. also i seem to get a cramp in my right foot alot any insight on the problem.:bbb and i get cramps in my abdominal area maybe im drinkin too much water.:yikes

    Side stitch: you need to relax and breath when skipping rope. It's easy to tense up and hold your breath if you don't concentrate on staying relaxed.

    Foot cramp: Stretch your calves. A LOT

    I like to skip for 3-5 mins then do push ups and abs for 3 mins then skip for another 5 min, then burpees for 2-3 mins, then skip for 5 mins....etc etc for 45 mins or so.

    I do intervals of 3 minutes.

    eat a banana to get rid of the stomach cramping, the potassium in it helps to avoid cramping. as for jump roping it helps improve endurance, coordination, and timing

    vary the pace it could b 10 10 its watever suits u

    it helps with stamina, calf strength and coordination. this helps two-fold, as it helps footwork and punch power (because you get punch power from your legs)

    I also had a question im not sure if my hand wraps bein too tight but ill loosin them and it still happens while jump my right thumb always i mean always gets a cramp ima tough kid but this pain hurts so i am always stopping and getting no benefit out of jumping someone please help

    it not really a workout but its a variation of skipping instead of holding the handles in the traditional mannor flip your hands so your now holdin the handles palm down it reall works the shoulders because of the rowing motion
