On Friday June the 27th at Cronulla Sharkies LeftHook Promotions presents another big night of Championship boxing. Ryan Waters is headlining the night once again and this time he is defending his IBO Asia Pacific Title and challenging for the vacant WBO Oriental Title against Kiwi Champion Steve Heremaia. There are three other professional bouts including The Sutherland Shire's own rising star Michael Bolling, former Olympian Adam Forsyth and Tim Hunt. There will be 6 amateur bouts and a comic routine to be performed by comedian Vince Sorrenti. Waters is facing Heremaia over 12 rounds for his IBO Asia Pacific Title and the vacant WBO Oriental Title at the light middleweight limit of 69.85 kgs. Heremaia comes into the bout with an impressive record of 10 wins and just 1 defeat which he has since avenged. The winner of this bout will get an automatic Top 15 ranking in the world from the WBO which currently ranks Oscar De La Hoya as their No. 1 contender. 'This fight is undoubtedly the biggest of my career and Im hoping to win in a convincing fashion. Waters said. Future star Michael Bolling takes on the dangerous Kashif Mumtaz over 6 rounds at light Heavyweight. Mumtaz is a former National amateur Champion for Pakistan but now fights out of New Zealand and has made a name for himself as being a real banger. This is a big test for Bolling and yet a great opportunity for him to really stamp himself as a name to remember. Trainer/manager Brendan Cannon thinks this will be Michael's night 'I'm very proud of how focused Michael is for this fight and his dedication is very rewarding to me as a trainer. I'm quite confident Michael will shine on the 27th and his future in this sport looks very promising. Former Olympian and 5-time Australian amateur Champion Adam Forsyth will have his second professional bout on the undercard when he takes on undefeated Sydney fighter Sosaia Funaki. Forsyth and trainer/manager Shaun Eaton are confident they will be major players in the world heavyweight scene within the next few years. Eaton explains 'Adams decision to turn pro is the next logical step in his boxing career and his hard-hitting punches and powerful fighting style are perfectly suited to professional fighting, The other professional bout on the card is a 4 round Welterweight fight between excitement machine Tim Hunt and debutante Chad 'The Prince' Naidu. This is set to be a thrilling battle as both Hunt and Naidu are said to be great prospects. There are 6 amateur bouts on the card including local Sutherland boxers Rod Spinks, Chris Guy, Tim Osmond, Brett Smith, Tommy Goodall, Michael Van and Luke Mina. To top the night off comedian Vince Sorrenti is doing a stand-up routine for a half an hour set. Tickets are available from the club at $50 and the doors open at 6.30pm
