    I think you are under rating Pavlik. He reminds me of a Modern day Monzon. A guy who doesn't look impressive, but with his strength and tenacity is a very tough guy to beat. He pressures well, and despite having a far from perfect defence, is still under rated in this department. His power and work rate will make him tough for anyone. Honestly, i think he will be too strong for Aurthur Abraham. That turtle shell defence will be a nightmare against a puncher like Pavlik.

    I agree that he's the type of guy whose success will always seem like an anomaly; and there are certainly examples of such anomalies where guys are more effective than they ought to be given their skill level due to intangibles. I just consider his effectiveness at the world class level to still be somewhat unproven given that he's only had one really world-class (and even then, in potential moreso than practice) opponent. My underrating is a counterbalance to the overrating of Miranda and Taylor as opponents, when Pavlik's style was a sharp kick in the balls for both. I've gone on record more than once saying that if Pavlik beats Abraham I will finally acknowledge his efficacy and supremity at the weight and give him all due credit. :good

    And i agree with both of you guys.

    If you look at Pavlik on paper, he doesn't look like he can do well. But he's got attributes that's hard to measure. He's got great stamina, a heck of a chin, incredible work rate, and determination/heart. Not all guys have that. Plus, he's got attributes you can measure. He's a huge MW. He's got heavy hands. He's relentless and just keeps coming forward.

    I've said this ever since he beat JT the first time. It's going to take someone really special to actually BEAT Pavlik in a fight. Someone who can take a punch and withstand Pavlik's onslaught for 12 rounds.
