I remember Fedor's "little" brother Aleks who had very good hands in MMA trying his luck at boxing. He managed to beat (barely) two no-name brand fighters nobody had heard of and called it a day.

Boxing has a lot of nuances to it and is not very forgiving of people that make mistakes. In MMA you can get beat up on the feet with punches, but have the option of trying to out-kick the guy or to take it to the ground. But then the other guy might have great takedown defence. He may even take you down. But, hang on, you have better submissions and work your way to a choke finish after all.

In boxing, the guy notices that when you punch a straight right you're a little slow to put your glove back in place. A few seconds later they're shining a little light in your eyes.

Obviously AJ would get tooled in a NHB match. It takes time to crossover from one sport to the other; there's so much to learn.

Croatia has some very talented big guys in combat sports like Miocic or future HW star 24 y.o. Hrgovic.

Hrgović DESTROYED the MMA veteran Sergey Kharitonov (who has wins over the likes of Overeem, Werdum, Arlovski...) years ago in WSB when Hrgović was still a rookie

If a totally green Hrgović managed to do that to one of the more accomplished strikers in MMA, imagine what current Joshua would do...

 

Notice how Hrgović eats Kharitonov's best shots for breakfast and brawls willingly with him while all those chinny MMA fighters were always scared of his power. MMA fighters are pillowfisted and chinny!

 

This wouldn't be an interesting bout in the slightest. I could see mma guys buying it but not boxing fans.

This. Junior Dos Santos would get embarrassed by unranked guys. Joshua or any top fighter's name shouldn't be in his mouth.

 

Junior is basically done in the MMA game...looking for that big $$$$$ that the UFC probably didnt give him after all this time of the physical abuse his body has taken. MMa is no joke on the body wear and tear. Really hes more likely to fight a celebrity match with Butter Bean for 10 Dollars on PPV.

 

Audley would beat JDS, stick to MMA.
