I didn't call JDS an arm puncher persay. I called your typical MMA fighter an arm puncher. I actually like JDS and he's one of the few MMA fighters I watch (and enjoy)

Don't think it really matters. By all accounts his boxing is terrible. Much like Carwin he's a big solid heavy with heavy hands. But thats the extent of it. He wouldn't even make a decent journeyman under Queensbury rules.

yes his boxing is terrible that he beaten everyone in the ufc,
using boxing and pulling off nice counters
    etc

    a little different then carwin,

trust me there are tons of guys in ufc with sold heavy hands and most of them dont become champions, without ever doing one sub, or rarely even ever throwing a kick

who knows how he would do in pure boxing
but atleast he represents boxing well in mma
unlike a certain fat **** named toney
    who disgraced it there

Paul Daley, who isn't even from a boxing background has the best hands I've seen in MMA.... nick diaz... Brad Pickett ... All guys who could compete if they wanted to. Look at Jason ball. Not really refined as a boxer in anyway but still a rough handful.

The boxer/MMA fighter divide isn't actually that wide in some instances.

Carwin is a one dimensional slugger, the guy always throws 1-2 and maybe short uppercuts from the clinch. No footwork,no rhytm, variations of combinations non existant.
Jds is a much better "boxer" then him, although there is two things lacking from jds thats, his hands are low which i understand cause of fear of takedown and he doesnt move his head at all, which i dont get .
