Kindly ask Mr Marco Antonio Barrera why he threw away the 126 lbs title he was gifted in the Erik Morales rematch to the trash can??????

MAB wanted no part of JMM at 126 lbs, so after MAB was gifted the title, he said, "I'm not a featherweight, I dont know that I'll stick around this weight class."

.....anyone that knew the sport back then, knew he was'nt keeping the title because he wanted no part of JMM......
........to which JMM replied at the time, "I'd love to fight MAB, and if he does'nt feel comfortable at 126 lbs, I can make 122 lbs without a problem...I'll fight him at 122 lbs."

.....instead, and in fear of fighting the best 126 pounder, JMM's words went on deaf ears and MAB instead chose to fight hasbeens in Johnny Tapia and Kevin Kelley, a friend of his and a completely shot to pieces fighter.

The truth must hurt, but deal with it my friend!:deal

Your the definition of a fan boy Divac. Completely blinded by your love of Juan Manuel Marquez. Incredible fighter, but that not incredible that Barrera ducked him. Oh wait, they actually fought. :patsch

    Joker.

Yes, fighters in fear of and ducking another many times eventually do fight that fighter........why you ask????

.....could it had been that MAB had no choice but to fight JMM after he got his ass handed to him by Pacquiao, and in order to justify a rematch with Pacquiao, he had to prove himself against the fighter that mastered Pacquiao......
.........at least this was the idea from the promoters that promoted both JMM and MAB.....

If anyone wants to know why MAB had a falling of the part with GBP......the fact that it was GBP who put pressure on MAB to fight certain fighters to get to Pacquiao is what had MAB all in hissy fit with the team that runs GBP......

GBP supported the fighter that won the JMM-MAB fight, and stood by that fighter getting big fights.....that irked MAB tremendously.
What happened then was that MAB was in private talks with Bob Arum to jump ship and go with them so that he the loser to JMM could get first crack at Pacquiao, when that fight was billed as an eliminator for the rights fight Pacquiao.....

That spoiled little brat named Barrera, got his wish as GBP backed off to sooth MAB's broken ego......

.....and when MAB lost again in a scared effort to Pacquiao, he retires and comes back again, only this time he wants out of GBP because they refuse to blow his pecker.....

......you want to throw any more soft tosses my way?????
Please, the latter part of MAB's career has been a complete joke of a spoiled little brat!:yep

I'm not denying that MAB was a great fighter, but I'm not about to sugarcoat his career either, I'm simply going to tell it like it was!:deal

Yup, he fought Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao, and Erik Morales in his last three years at the top. What a complete joke.

Marquez, on the other hand, still hadn't got a signature win. :huh

Nope, his path of failure lead to those fights.......

After MAB got a gift in the Morales rematch, MAB after getting called out by JMM, fought Johnny Tapia, Kevin Kelley, and Manny Pacquiao.......at a time when Pacquiao was'nt a household name.....
You could have polled 100 boxing writers at the time and almost to a man each would have said that Marquez at the time was more deserving of fighting MAB.

MAB at the time was a clear favorite to beat Pacquiao, and a fight with JMM would have been close to even in the betting parlors.

MAB chose to fight Pacquiao because he was considered less of a threat than JMM.....get that straight here pal, in hindsight yes MAB fought a great fighter in Pacquiao, but that was'nt his mindset when he chose Pacquiao to fight for the first time over JMM......at the time Pacquiao was a fighter moving up and considered less of a threat then JMM at 126 lbs!

......again, I'm only spewing the reality of the time, deal with it!:deal:bbb

    Toss me another soft one???:hi:

When Barrera doesn't fight "the right fighter" he is said to be ducking him. When he does take on "the right fighter", he was forced into it.

    Okay then. :good

What amazes me is that a classy and quality fighter like JMM has little shits like Divac as a nuthugger. You'd think this little turd is much more the Aaron Pryor type. He's also a *******, and one of the more offensively, trollish ignorant ones, which kind of explains his MAB hatred. Although why they hate the man who gave their boy his big break is still beyond me.

The only 'soft one' is in your pants. Pac was considered a VERY dangerous fighter at that time, much like a Valero is looked at today. You don't know **** about anything. Is it just impossible for you to STFU? Are you a disturbed individual? MAB refused the belt because of the ridiculous sanctioning fee as a protest. JMM was still rebuilding his career after the Norwood defeat, and the only name on his resume after that loss at that time is Peden. I doubt he was even the #1 WBC contender at the time.

Seriously. You're a ****ing idiot. ANd what is this ....... **** you keep using after every word in your posts?

You know what? **** it. You're going on ignore, you have nothing to say worth reading and all you do is **** me off.

The only reason MAB fought JMM was that GBP drew it up as an eliminator to fight Pacquiao.......I know you have selective memory, but this is around the time that MAB started to have issues with the way he was being treated by GBP........

....thats being pressured into a fight with JMM.....what is MAB to do at this point? Could he have said, "I want Pacquiao but I dont want to face JMM in an eliminator?"

That was the downside of being with GBP at the time.....how could MAB word it that he's not afraid to fight JMM, but he does'nt want to fight him to get to Pacquiao?
The bad part about it with MAB is that JMM had signed with GBP looking to get and make big fights......MAB-JMM was a big fight for both Marquez and MAB, yet MAB wsa having issues about it......

So to fits with the matter with GBP, that after MAB lost to JMM.......MAB goes back on his word knowing that his fight with Marquez was an eliminator to fight Pac.........
MAB goes to the other side and has private talks with Arum about fighitng Pac.......:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Tell me SK and Bernie, I want a good laugh........
......why did MAB leave GBP when he was partnered with them????:lol::lol::lol:
