Certainly, the best part of this whole thing was Badou Jack looking good in defeating Ilunga Makabu. I'm not sure if Jack turned back the clock as much as Makabu aged but it was a very enjoyable fight.

Tommy Fury was a professional boxer before reality TV star. I think he is as serious as anyone about the sport now but his defence is too leaky. Hopefully he will be less nervous and come forward more in future. I personally don’t like the negative backing off style. But he clearly has skills.

That's the way I see it, Tommy, born into boxing, his brother is heavyweight champ, he mouths off pre fight how quickly he's gonna ko Paul. Yet what happens, he pitty pat boxes his way to edge the fight on points and gets dropped in the final round. Then he celebrates like he's won a world title, it's pretty pathetic but hey, he's millions of dollars richer! Pretty sad, really, just not for him.
Boxing never seems to come out looking good from these youtube/crossover fights, there's gotta be something in this. Honestly getting to that point where the pro boxing industry as a whole doesn't impress me at all anymore. I used to be in awe of it but quite the opposite now.

I would bet my house on them doing a rematch again. The amount of money at stake for the risk involved it would almost be crazy for them not to rematch.

Yeah it's super embarrassing and another huge black eye for the sport of boxing

And it's a huge event win for Disney and YouTube

Imagine if Tommy had the confidence to take up Paul on his double or nothing bet?! He's gotta be kicking himself in the ass right about now.

I watched Jakes training camp and it was truly awful- never seen anything in all my years like it.
Jake has got some pop in his righthand so you work on his jab to set up that righthand and teach him ways to land the righthand.
Yet Jake is so in love with trying to be a slick boxer moving his head all around and really having no idea how to slip a jab.
And Jake can get away with having his hands down against people who are paid to make him look good(sparring partners} but notice how many times he got his head snapped from Tommys jab.

People can say these are bad for boxing all they want. Fact is that fights like this do more for boxing than when championship fights are borefests that has the public tune out and talking about that's why they don't watch boxing, ect.

He has an entire family that’s already rich through Tyson Fury. He’s been set for life.

Horrible game plan, JP should have let Fury press forward.

Reading through comments everywhere, some people are slagging Fury off for the knock down and close fight, others calling out Paul for getting beaten after Canelo comments etc.

I actually think it was a good contest between two guys are obviously novices, but have a tiny bit of ability. Remember Fury was a betting underdog (but many boxing fans eyes he is worse after winning the fight). I don’t get the hate on this one at all. Not sure what people were expecting. It wasn’t a circus, it was a hard fought bout with the right winner. Ref was awful though, just bloody awful. Neither fighter going to do anything at any sort of level, but who thought that was the case beforehand. That could have been a lot worse. I tell you this now, I get it was PPV and expectations should be high, but between the Jack v Makubu fight and that main event, I’ve seen a lot worse cards this last 2-3 months served up by actually top tier promoters.

To be fair JP can throw an overhand right and stick a jab out now and then :)
