Junior Makabu Ilunga vs. Badou Johannes Gabriel Jack & Jake Joseph Paul vs. Tommy Fury RBR.

A lot of people on this forum bought into the Paul hype too, probably due to their dislike of Fury.

I give Paul a lot of credit. He turned himself into some credence of a boxer over the last few years. He's the best of the YouTube boxers by far, but that's not enough when you fight against a real boxer who has been doing it for a long time.

Fury is not that good, but he's still decent. He exhibited the fundamentals in a deeper level. He's got a fighter's stamina, where as Paul was not built for long fights. Paul's got power, but that only amounts of a puncher's chance. His stamina is still lousy. He can fight about 4 rounds before it starts to fall apart and all he has is his power to bail him out, not his fundamentals.

I watched a few videos of Fury before I picked him. He's much better than all of Paul's previous opponents, include Silva. Who cares if Silva beat Chavez Jr? Chavez Jr is an embarrassment to the family name and he'd rather smoke weed than train. Either way, none of Paul's previous opponents had good movement. Fury did and he wasn't going to stand around to get punched. He also had better boxing fundamentals and that means something when it comes to boxing.

I don't like the Fury family either, and I won't like Tyson Fury very much if he ducks Usyk, but I was a bit surprised to see so many people pick Paul over Tommy, who had much more experience as a boxer. Sometimes people have to use their brain, instead of their dislike for part-time boxer, part-time reality star, part-time model Tommy Fury.

 

Still got respect for Paul got off the sidelines and got on rhe frontlines. He a real one to me.

 

What a surprise that you would respect a complete ass clown like Jake Paul who has been taking the **** out of the sport of boxing. What about him disrespecting Floyd Mayweather does that make him a real one?

 

Yep couldn't have said it any better. I think Tommy would've give him and even worse beating if not for all the pressure being on him. I still can't believe that there are hardcore boxing fans and even pro fighters who like Jake Paul. I too still want Paul to hang around as I would love to see him get brutally KO'd.

Tommy schooled him. Jake was holding too much especially when he got tired. Tommy could've kapt his hands up more and unloaded more with the 1-2. If there's a rematch, he could do even better because there was so much pressure & hype here. Overall, a great fight. For someone who has fought only a few years he's good. If he fights someone with power at that weight that throws more, he'd be in big trouble.

That stupid **** he did where winner takes all bites him in the ass, I hope they stand by their word. Saudi Arabia is not a good atmosphere, the ref was atrocious.

 

Paul was scared of Rahman Jr.!

 

Rahman Jr would have knocked him out that is why Paul's team kept changing the weight and then pulled out.

 

Can we put this **** to bed & get real fights on now? This year is shite so far

 

I actually thought jake should have gotten the nod. That was a questionable "slip" too. Jake landed the harder punches. They need to run it back in 3 months.

 

I am shocked anyone thinks that was close. Jake landed some good and clean shots but he looked like an amatuer and the last half of the fight he was hugging. I had Fury winning 6 rounds. This wasn't close at all imo.

 

On a scale of 1-100 how bitter do u feel that some joke you tube guy clearly lost to a joke boxer/reality TV star. Many respectable folk on this page would have said Joke Paul won if he did....it wasnt even close if u know how to score boxing.
