shouldent call any boxer a quitter, but unfortunatly that sounds like exactly what witter did, quit. he really dosent deserve anymore chances after this, sorry to say this,he embarressed himself lastnight
True, Khan made mistakes that night and now seems to have changed his style under Roach. You must learn from your mistakes which i feel he is doing.
only thing khan has learned is how to keep well away from punchs, throw fast soft combos and get the hell outa there. darni im gonna give you 10 points on the chin thingie, maybe it has improved with weight,he got caught a few times and dident go down(albeit off a soft puncher),but even roach seems to know how bad his chin is,all he kept saying was don't get into a fight, keep well away, and don't get caught:hey khan boxed really well though, but unfortunatly for khan not all world champs are as slow or punch as soft as that kolinik fellow:good
****in Sky eh...... This is their main story in the boxing page.. title reads as follows..... "No title for quitter Witter" Disrespectful ****ers, bet if that was a Sky fighter it wouldn't have been that negative
Yeah and if Witter fought Khan, Khan do the same thing and beat Witter IMO, but i guess we will never know now. Witter should of been focused on the Alexander fight than saying ' I would knock Khan out in 3 rounds' who looks like a mug now? Quiting on your stool is not a high.
after quitting last night how can witter justify asking to fight hatton or khan for big money, i am not going to pay money to watch him quit
This is the Calzaghe Conundrum, I lost count of the number of times that Joe said that he would beat this and that fighter easily, but never bothered getting in the ring to prove it. Its like one of Einsteins Theories, precisely that, a theory. :good BTW, i'm with you when you said that Khan would improve going up in weight....I still think that Junior would beat him with one hand, whilst drinking a beer with the other, but thats only a theory :hey
He said he damaged his elbow in the 4th but I think he just looked around at the almost empty arena realised he was 35 and sort of resigned himself to the fact people like Hatton and Khan get all the hype and he does not. He looked very very emotional in the locker room interview and I felt quite sorry for him. He was pushed back and back at every turn in his career and it finally got to him.
