Should be in The Times tomorrow that Witter and the Torres team are in talks for a June clash with the winner taking on Timothy Bradley as he is the mandatory.

The two hardest hitters in the division bar maybe Ortiz going at it, think styles would make a great fight, I think Witter would KO Torres myself in a mash up.

    nice fight

this is what Witter needs to do to secure a Hatton fight, not complain to the media all the time (though it is helping build the interest).

for the record no one at 140 beats Hatton ... he won't lose until Amir Khan is ready to move up and take the crown ... "boxing politics"

    Witter beats Hatton KO

Witter beats Torres by KO too, Torres struggled with skill in Holt, in Witter he has to face skill and power, Torres has a puncher's chance like the Cotto fight where it nearly paid off but Witter is not dumb enough to stand and trade.

I wouldn't say Witter is a bigger puncher than Hatton, to correct the earlier poster.

He iced Vivian Harris, which was an excellent performance, but I would have backed Hatton, Torres and a couple of others to KO him (albeit not as impressively, possibly).

I think Witter is an excellent fighter, but people are getting carried away with the Harris performance - Vivian ain't all that at all, was probably top 5 (just, and only on reputation rather than recent performances) and should re-assess Witter properly.

That said, the Hatton fight should happen, I would expect early/mid next year.
