Junior Witter comments on Hatton

I think Frank ****** was keeping his cash cow from Witter,especially after the Eamon Magee fight.Hatton finally got away from ******,and was aiming for the big USA fights.Almost nobody in the US knew Witter from Adam,so why even open that can of worms.Hatton had his mind set on fights that would make him popular in the US,fights that he could win, and in intertaining fashion,as well as earn huge $$$$,against guys like Castillo,Corrales,Gatti,and Mayweather.Witter was medium to high risk with low reward.Hatton wasnt about to fight Witter instead of Floyd,because floyd was his goal,and he wasnt going to fight Witter fresh after being KOed by a counterpuncher in his first fight back.The only real opportunity for their fight would have been if hatton fought witter instead of paulie,but Ricky's father and manager set him up with a safer fight in Paulie.That being said i think Hatton could have beat Witter,he just needed to do his thing while being mindful of witters awkward counter shots,and Hatton could have won a clear win on points,about like the Magee fight.imo.

I was never a fan of Hatton but at least he can say he went out like a man in defeats to the two best boxers of our time whereas ol' Junior did a No Mas against Devon Alexander.
