It would of been a massive fight domestically, it had a story and serious plot behind it. It should of happened when Junior Witter was world champion, but for whatever reason. Ricky Hatton did not take the fight. I think Hatton would of beat Witter aswell.
Witter spot-on both counts. Hatton ducked Witter for years, instead fighting a load of tomato cans at the MEN. The whole thing was a sham. To those who say Witter neved deserved the fight or didn't bring anything to the table, so I suppose the likes of vilches, Stephen Smith, Pedersen, 'No Joke' Stewart did, right? atsch Hatton was a cherrypicking joker, but it just made his fall even more spectacular when he eventually did fight elite fighters close to their prime.
Come on, it's quite funny. For a sport where two men bash the living bejeesus out of each other, plenty of folk get emotional about a bit of smack talk.
good post Mr Billy Nelson. summed it up in a simples way. hopefully Junior shitter/no hitter/quitter/witter calls it a day now as well.
Not really, that "disgrace" thing was an idiotic comment for a boxing fan to make no matter what side of the Hatton/Witter fence you sit.
:deal Is sort of answer Ricky would say at dinner show if Floyd got sparked out and he had to name his favourite 'Money' moment. Lillis and folk getting sanctimonious is pretty lame. Remember Ricky's joke about being at a Witter fight: "I said to the guy next to me: 'OIIIII MATE' (shouting)." If Junior had said funny stuff like this during his career maybe he would have had got more publicity.
