TBH the rest of the post was nonsense as well, the retired after a defeat like 99% of fighters do.

Witter was clearly joking,but who can blame him,Hatton ducked him for nearly a decade,you can look at it way you want but he ducked him,imagine if Witter or another fighter back in the 70 or 80s had abused Ricky's hero Roberto Duran like Witter did,could you imagine Duran saying,'im not gonna give you a pay day or come back when we build it a little;...not a chance,Duran would want to rip his head off..

I wouldn't say he ****ed his fans over, I also doubt very much that not announcing his retirement helped him promote small hall shows from Darlington Town Hall.

He DID change trainers like many fighters and left him a rich man, as for poor old Frank....cry me a river!!

He made his money, got out at the right time with his health in tact and a decent career behind him. Similar to what you are advising Crolla to do in that Morales thread.
