His punch doesn't seem to carry up well into world class, even at 140 let alone 147. Most of his KOs are at Euro/ Brit level.

Had it not been for the knockdown, he would have kept his title against Bradley.

And he seemed to be coming on strong against Alexander after a bit of a pasting in the first half of the fight, caught him with a few bombs in the last round, then inexplicably pulled out, plain weird.

    A total enigma.

The scores were too close, Bradley won that fight kd or no kd and I say that as one of Witter's (apparently few) fans.

Yea, i totally agree, but u have to rememebr Bradley was fighting away from home, and Witter was the champ, anything 50/50 he would have gotten, i mean he was well known for nicking decisions, e.g. the kotelnik fight.

A fight with Hatton would be about as Ugly as a boxing match can be. Constant holding and rough housing from both fighters and almost no clean action, wouldn't fancy it. It would look extremely bad to the general public since so much attention surrounded it and it turned out to be a snooz fest.

There is alot of truth being said here:good

The only two fighters he fought in their prime, or on the way up; Alexander and Bradley and the guy got spanked.

Witter wont be a top 10 welterweight infact at world level i cannot see him being a factor.

This is one last throw of the dice from Witter. Would Kell Brooks people fancy this fight?

I think this would be a great fight for Brook

I also think he would stop Witter fairly easily myself.

Witter was never invited to the party. He turned up anyway, tried to gatecrash and was denied entry and then sat in the park with a three litre bottle of white lightening bitching about the people at the party and saying how he never wanted to go to it anyway.

Kell Brook's people are Witter's people. They are both with the Ingles. No way will that fight happen.
This is why I hate Hennessy.
His inepitude as a promoter saw Junior's career stagnate when he should really have been excelling; he couldn't even get him a fight after he did a number on Harris.
As regards Witter not being all that good in the first place, I suppose we'll never really know will we?
He was 32 when he got his second shot at a world title; it is well documented that he was fighter dependant on natural physical gifts as opposed to fundamentals. His physical peak could've been wasted at euro level.

Am i the only one who seemed to want the Witter - Hatton fight at the time? Obviously not now.

Someone earlier mentioned the clash of styles maybe making it an ugly fight, but i still think for a domestic fight, Witter would've posed alot more problems for Hatton than say one of his routine defences vs Mausa or Castillo. And the fight would've sold massive numbers on PPV.

He should dispatch Cox with relative ease... Cox is good but very reckless
