Did I miss this last week on the forum??????

Witter was carrying on like this fight with Khan was virtually a done deal.

    Buncey sounded a little suprised.

I take it this didn't get off the ground?

Witter said they were waiting on Sky to make a decision.

khans team got in touch with witter.......

like buncey said, its probs about 5th or 6th on their list for khans next fight, maybe lower.....

gotta have options if everything else fails.

Turns out Witter's definition of a 'done deal' is different to Khan's.

Don't they both already have fights signed? (with Puiu and McCloskey, respectively) :huh

Witter's is at welterweight, besides...which had led me to believe 140 was no longer doable.

Khan-McCloskey wasn't a done deal then, but wasn't Witter-Puiu? It'd be folly for anybody involved to look past that fight, given Witter's layoff and the fact that he's up against a strong hungry WW.

Witter said he would still be taking the fight to get rid of ring rust etc

Risky proposition. Wouldn't losing (making him 0-2 in his last two and 1-3 in his last four) throw a damper on a Khan fight?

I can sense the same thing that happened to Happy Gilmore is about to happen to Junior Wittter.
